Temporary Exhibition
Journey to the End of the World - From September 2010 to December 2012
In this interactive exhibit, visitors trace the journey of Jacques Cartier's arrival in the New World, which is centred around his observations on the fauna and flora.
Alongside these historical observations, is the presentation of a contemporary vision of biodiversity on this same territory - nearly five centuries later - based on the words of the founder and coordinator of Équiterre, Steven Guilbeault. The citizens’ perspective takes front seat in this showcase and visitors are directly challenged: They are invited to give possible solutions for the future and to share their thoughts.
Journey to the End of the World was conceived to be a beautiful exhibition that creates awareness of the environment, based on the exhibit’s art and its fascinating iconographic collections. A must see exhibit!
Produced in collaboration with museum design firm Carrier Communication, Journey to the End of the World is an exhibition presented within the territorial exhibition DEATH, Exhibits to live for by museum collective Médiat-Muse.
