*5S Passage

5S Passage stimulate the five senses: hearing, smell, taste, touch and sight. A clever mix of modern technical elements and ancient artefacts is presented through three stations. Go ahead! Smell the the strong odour released by the mills, observe the fibre under the microscope, feel the unusual consistency of pulp. And that's not all... A unique device that simulates heat, humidity and rumbling will give you an idea of the working conditions in the past. About 8 to 10 minutes in length, 5S Passage is a perfect complement to the museum visit-experience which includes two interactive activities, the paper-making workshop and the Path of Forgotten Souls.

*Papermaking workshop

Starting with a demonstration, this workshop shows you how paper is produced in a mill. You can then make your own sheet of paper to take home as a souvenir!

*Scavenger hunt in the underground vaults
The BORÉALIS scavenger hunt takes place in the museum’s mysterious underground vaults. Following the Path of Forgotten Souls, you can use your ultraviolet flashlight to read fluorescent writing on the walls that reveals the history of this former industrial site.
