Welcome to Boréalis, the Museum of the Pulp and Paper Industry!

Looking for a unique outing to keep your school-aged kids curious and entertained? Halfway between Québec City and Montréal, Boréalis welcomes you for a full day of discovery in Trois-Rivières. On the agenda: a century of papermaking and forestry history brought to life through a wide variety of activities the whole family will enjoy!

Interested? Here’s what’s in store for you!

Transformation a Captivating Exhibition

Start your day by exploring the brand-new exhibition Transformations. Step into the fascinating spaces of the former factory, meet intriguing characters from the past, and take on interactive challenges. At Boréalis, history is told differently: archival images come to life and stories unfold on screen. A journey filled with discoveries, taking you from yesterday’s factory to tomorrow’s forest!

Handmade Paper Workshop: a Creative Moment

Halfway through your visit, head to the lab! The Papermaking Workshop invites you to get hands-on and dive into a playful, tactile activity. Create a unique keepsake to take home with you. A favorite among visitors of all ages, this creative break encourages experimentation and lets you leave with a sense of pride in your handmade creation.

***Please note that the paper-making workshop is only available on weekends.***

Outdoor Lunch: Picnic on the Esplanade or a Meal on the Terrace

After the exhibition, take a well-deserved break on the museum’s esplanade, offering a breathtaking view of the Saint-Maurice River. Bring your own lunch and enjoy a peaceful family moment in this serene setting. You can also reserve a table at the terrace restaurant, which offers a refined menu (please note: no children’s menu is available).
