BORÉALIS

TRAVEL TO THE HEART OF THE PAPER INDUSTRY!

In this immersive, self-guided tour, step back in time and meet the people who shaped a remarkable industrial journey. Set inside the former CIP (Canadian International Paper) filtration plant, your visit begins with the harsh realities faced by men and women workers from past centuries. You’ll then explore the technological and environmental challenges of an ever-evolving industry. From factory floor to forest, through the memories of yesterday and the outlook of tomorrow, become the privileged witnesses to a world shaped by Transformations.

Throughout your journey, the authenticity of the century-old building—showcasing its testimonies, artifacts, interactive challenges, astonishing scenery, and a breathtaking view of the river—makes this visit a multi-sensory, emotional, and thought-provoking experience.

The exhibition visit includes a Paper-Making Workshop (Atelier de fabrication de papier – Boréalis), and exclusively for Summer 2025, the virtual reality short film Ma Belle Saint-Maurice (Ma belle St-Maurice – Boréalis).
